Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Just noticed this over on Geekdo today.
Jack Neal has created a free print-and-play train game that’s a mixture of 18xx, Age of Steam, Chicago Express, and some of his own rules. The game handles from 1 – 3 players, and is relatively short for a train game. A single player game plays in about 20 minutes, while a full compliment of players yields a game time up to 90 minutes.
Jack says more maps will be available soon, and I can really see this catching on with the train game crowd if it’s any good. I’d also be interested to see what kinds of pimped out sets pop up if it does catch on.
Everything you need to play the game can be found at Jack’s blog.
