Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Wizards of the Coast, who’re based in Renton, WA, donated around $80,000 worth of Hasbro and Wizards toys and games to Renton area families in need.
Well, they donated to the Renton Salvation Army through their own Wizards Holiday Magic program. Either way, it’s a great gesture. It’s nice to see any company give during any time of the year, no matter what their actual motivation is. The end result is always the same…a smile on a person’s face who probably may not have smiled in a long time.
I have my love, and my hate of Wizards, but in the end, this was a good need. I only hope more game companies follow their lead (and if you know of any that do, please, post below!)
