We initially posted an update when they reached $40,000.

DriveThruRPG, the largest retailer for digital RPG books, raised $178,900 for Doctors Without Borders to help with Haitian relief.  With the help of a bunch of publishers, they put out a large bundle of free RPG material that could be obtained by donating to the fund. The bundle would have retailed for over $1,400.

Spreading the word through various social networks, DriveThru reached gamers all over the world who were willing to donate.  In the end the community pulled together and raised a staggering amount of money.

The whole effort was pulled together, and pulled off, over a very short period of time.

Hats off to DriveThru, and all the gamers that found it in their hearts to give.
