Rhode Island company, Fun Q Games, has moved beyond the sggc stage. Their first product was last year’s Smash or Trash, an activity game where players rewrite the lyrics to popular songs and then vote on their favorites. The cards in this game provide a subject for the revision and song choices from different eras, with the goal of making it accessible to people of various ages. Include me in the game and my attempt at the original lyrics would be funny enough.

Fun Q’s new game is Triplica. This one has a deck of cards with colorful symbols and players put down cards trying to line up three symbols in a row. Yes, they know it reminds you of Set. It did for me too, though it seems a bit less intense. The company provided me a demonstration copy, so I’ll let you know in an upcoming review.
