Panini America is making sweeping changes in its distribution policies in order to bolster brick-and-mortar stores. Changes include:

  • Designating it’s current list of brick-and-mortar stores as authorized retailers
  • Drastically reducing the number of wholesalers with which it will do business
  • No tolerance for wholesalers selling to non-authorized retailers or directly to the public, and no tolerance for retailers acting as wholesalers

In addition, it is considering a minimum advertised price, as Mayfair Games has done, if the above steps don’t go far enough.
