Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Bicycle Playing Cards, a trademark of the US Playing Card Company, a division of Jarden Corp, is celebrating its 125th anniversary.
Last week they attempted to set the world record for the most number of people playing Hearts, using Chuck Woolery as host to attract players. They got “close to 500 participants”, where I think they needed over 1,000 to break the record.
They have a number of promotions on their site, and they are sending a double-decker bus around the US with promotions, a history, coupons, and card tables.
