Louis Sachar, famed author of Holes and other books, has a new young adult novel out: The Cardturner. The story is about a boy who must drive his blind great-uncle Lester to his bridge club four times a week and be his “cardturner”. And a lot more, of course.

No surprise, Sachar is a bridge-enthusiast.
