Board Game Exchange is a board game borrowing system. It’s not cheap, but you get to try the games out, all shipping costs are free, and you can pay to keep a game at a discounted rate if you like it. And some of the games are the rare, expensive variety.
One thing odd is that the banner claims the service is an “affiliate of board game geek”, and I don’t know what that means. Does BGG get a kickback for each subscription? Nothing about it in the terms of service, or on BGG. I’m awaiting an answer from the site.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
I just came across this article and wondering if you heard back as far as the affiliation goes? Also, have you tried ordering from them and are they located in the US?
From the website it does appear that Board Game Exchange serves the United States. I can’t imagine that they would do so from outside the country, given shipping costs. And I note that they no longer claim to be affiliated with BGG.
But all of that is only based on the website. We have not been in touch with them since this article was published 3½ years ago.
