Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Tuesday Parlay? I know. I’m still getting used to it too.
Last week’s poll showed that most of you would like to continue to see polls with Purple Parlay, so today we have a new topic and poll.
Very simple this week. What day of the week do you game the most?
I don’t get a ton of gaming in with my current schedule, but it’d have to be one of the weekdays. I usually don’t game much during the weekend unless it’s a few games with the kids.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Fridays, definitely. As you say, with a family, it’s tough to carve out time on Saturday or Sunday, but Friday is one of those liminal days that doesn’t really count as a weekend, but I don’t have to get up early the next day for work.
I voted for Saturday mostly because I play a lot of games with my family on Saturday. When I play board games with friends its also on Saturday (day or evening depending on the season).
Tuesday night is RPG night.
Hmmm….What’s the slowest news day? I vote for Tuesday or Wednesday.
Wednesdays. I’ve been hosting Wednesday game night for … hrm. Nine years next month.
Sunday seem to be the two most popular days. I have a regular group of 10-15 players that cycle in about 3-6 players per gaming session. I think since were 99% boardgamers that this works; if we RPG’d we might not gather as often due to time commitments, and the fact that ongoing campaigns are harder to schedule. Each of our sessions is a “one-off” so the participants can be interchangeable.
Our group is also social enough and casual enough to be okay with having the TV on for sports. A few of us are NFL fans, so Sunday gaming/footbal lwatching is a good combo.
We usually don’t meet on Saturday because that’s when a lot of local larger group events – NerdNYC’s Recess, for example – schedule things. I also have my non-gaming friends and family that I also take time to see, so Saturday is more easily a day of the week to do that.
Well usually Monday’s as thats the night when the wife is out, or Wednesdays as thats generally the club night.
