Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
I enjoy our weekly chats, but some weeks they’re…well…not really chats.
Purple Parlay has been an interesting experiment. I’ve tried various ways to get our readers to interact with us, and Purple Parlay was semi-successful. We’ve had some really good weeks, and some really dead ones.
So my question to all of you is, do we still parlay on Fridays, or does Purple Parlay go the way of the Dodo (the bird, not me.)
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Hmmm… Have you thought of moving it to a different day? So many of us are away from our PCs over the weekend that perhaps people parleying would proliferate prodigiously (sorry, couldn’t resist) on a weekday.
With the top 3 game sites being PP, BGG, and BGN, personally if I want to parlay, I do it on a BGG forum. I check PP for the latest and best on all gaming news around the world. Not to voice or commiserate.
Didn’t realize there was such a thing. Maybe just a little more advertising would bring out more people(?). Also if you’re interested I found out about PP from google reader recommendation.
I certainly wouldn’t give it up, but maybe making it a “sticky” post at the top of the page for the week might drum up some more interest? Things tend to get shoved down rather quickly.
I also didn’t realize what Purple Parlay was, even though I have been subscribing to the RSS feed for a while.
Cheers.
My experience of attempts to foster discussion at my own blog is that the topic makes all the difference… Some subjects generate huge amounts of discussion and others fall dead from the press. I wouldn’t draw conclusions from the ones that don’t work so much as I would suggest you learn from the ones that did work.
Best wishes!
