Do you paint your miniatures? I’m guessing the answer is yes if you’re a miniature player, but what about those war/board gamers with minis in their games? What about you RPG players who use minis in your campaigns? Do YOU paint your minis?
Back in the day when I played Warhammer 40K I used to loved painting my minis, even though I was terrible at it. Now that I mainly play board games, I leave the minis just as they come in the box. There’s just no time anymore for me to try and paint the things considering how bad I am at it.
You know what I love? Prepainted minis!
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
Haven’t painted a miniature in twenty years. Don’t know where I’d find the time, to be honest. It’s one of those things I’d love to do if only I was a lot better at it! :)
I’m not a great painter and will take the lazy route if possible but I do find that if there aren’t a ton of minis and they are at least 25mm, I’ll paint even boardgame minis for games I play often. This has included Fury of Dracula, Last Night on Earth, and Invasion from Outer Space.
I would love to have a painted Battlelore set, but that task is just too daunting.
I would love to paint my minis, but I lack both the time and the skill.
I dream of having my descent set painted one day.
I think affordable prepainted mini’s are going to be a thing of the past.
From what I’ve been reading on various sites, due to rising production costs oversea’s (China) it’s going to be difficult for game companies to offer these.
I paint more often than I game because I don’t have to find place and opponents for painting.
Most painters though scoff at the prepainted and honestly they are universally of low quality paintwise.
However they are still head and shoulders above unpainted so I am all for them.
