Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
The WordPress board game was designed by Eko Nugroho and the Kummara game cafe. It was introduced at Wordcamp Indonesia, a conference devoted to WordPress.
The game is for 2 to 4 players. Each player gets a mock-up iPad player board, with a central WordPress engine and spaces for plugins. I’m guessing (nothing is in English) that your task is to acquire the right plugins that can work together with your Engine and that will power your blog, but the capricious requirements of software and management are at work against you. Three dice seem to control much of the activity.
The game seems to exist only in several mock-ups. The WordPress organization was unaware of had not seen the game when I contacted them and was not involved in the game’s creation.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
When did you contact the WP organization about the game? Matt posted this on Feb. 4 on his site. Just saying.
Huh, you’re right. I contacted Matt two days ago (Feb 6 or 7). On Feb 7, he wrote back “I haven’t seen it myself yet.”
I took that to mean that it was the first he’d heard about it, but apparently not.
