UK’s venerable toy giant Tomy has acquired leading US toy company RC2 in a $640 million deal. RC2 doesn’t have much in the way of games; neither does Tomy, really, though they have a few plastic dexterity games I may cover here eventually. Their brands and products appear to be a natural fit.

These both represent the major competitors to the likes of Mattel and Hasbro, who now have a larger unified competitor.
