Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Paizo Publishing is having a major auction to aid relief efforts in Japan. They are auctioning off the original artwork of their iconic samurai, Nakayama Hayato, by Wayne Reynolds and special edition copies of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook and the Pathfinder RPG Bestiary, autographed by the entire staff of Paizo.
They are also selling autographed first print copies of the Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook, with all the proceeds going to the Red Cross Society.
“All of us at Paizo have been devastated by the recent events in Japan, and when Wayne Reynolds contacted me with the idea to auction his original Pathfinder art, I knew this was a tangible way Paizo could help those impacted by the destruction,” said Paizo CEO Lisa Stevens. “We’re hoping to harness the power of our fans in an effort of goodwill to help those in need.”
You can bid for the items of the auction here or you order the first printing signed edition of Pathfinder RPG Core Rulebook here.

That is a great cause. As a RPG Blogger living in Japan, I can definitely say the people here need the help. My area wasn’t affected, but the stories of all the people who have died or are now left homeless is really heart wrenching. Glad to see Paizo helping out so much. Would be nice to see WotC doing something similar…
