Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Fantasy Flight Games has received licensing rights to publish Star Wars card, role-playing, and miniature games worldwide. Already they’ve announced two Star Wars products for release early 2012.
The first game will be a ship-to-ship combat game called X-Wing that puts players in the roles of X-Wings and TIE fighters locked in space combat.
The second game will be Star Wars: The Card Game. It’ll be a co-op Living Card Game for 1 – 4 players where players take control of various Star Wars heroes. The game will also support solo play.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
The game will also support solo play.
But how about Solo play?
Sorry, but the press release only talks about card, roleplaying and miniatures games – no boardgames:
“Fantasy Flight Games is pleased to announce that it has entered a comprehensive licensing partnership with Lucasfilm Ltd. for the worldwide rights to publish card, roleplaying, and miniatures games set in the popular Star Wars™ universe!”

Christoph, you are correct. I have gone and fixed the article.
Fantasy Flight confirmed at Gen Con that the license does not include board games.
