One of the more talked-about new board games at Gen Con was Fortune and Glory from Flying Frog Productions. Preview copies were being sold at the show but it will not be available in retail until September.

Fortune and Glory is a pulp-style adventure game where the players are treasure hunting heroes. Players take on the roles of specific characters and travel the world attempting to recover artifacts. In order to get an artifact, a hero must overcome the challenge described on a danger card. Furthering the story-building aspect of the game, if the hero fails the challenge, the danger card is flipped to its cliffhanger side for a secondary and more dangerous challenge.

Fortune and Glory can be played in either cooperative or competitive modes. The game is quite large and comes with a number of plastic miniatures representing the characters, villains, exotic locations, fortune and glory coins, and even Zeppelins. The retail price is $100.
