Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
The two-player Cardian Ambassador TCG from Andrew Markey and his sggc Markey Creations is an odd entry into the CCG market.
I don’t know what, exactly, is so odd. Game play looks reasonable enough, though the cards come with a wall of images, symbols, numbers, and text. Each player starts with $2,800 and the first to lose $1,000 loses. That’s a little odd: why not start each player with $1,000?
The pictures are slightly bizarre cartoonish animals, and the back story is also a little odd. The game requires play money and counters which are sold separately, so you can use your own, I suppose. You can also buy a boxed set with all the components.
I don’t know what else to say. Have to see how it plays. $25 for a starter set.
