Essen Spiel, the world’s largest game exhibition, runs October 20-23 is Essen, Germany. With sprawling buildings, 100,000+ attendees, and hundreds of new games released, the event can be quite overwhelming. But stepping in to help out is the Austrian Games Museum, which has launched the online Game Buyer Information System (GABIS). Optimized for mobile access, GABIS is a database of the games that will be on display in Essen. Users can search by publisher, designer, number or age of players, and other factors. Users can also rate games as they see them, with GABIS compiling the ratings in to top-10 and top-3 lists.
