The nomination phase for BoardGameGeek’s Golden Geek Awards is open for another 2 days. After that, the voting phase lasts through the end of October and the winners are announced at BBG Con.

The International Gamers Awards chose 7 Wonders as the top game in their General Strategy-Multiplayer category and A Few Acres of Snow in their 2 player category.

The Oppenheim Toy Portfolio issued its Best Toy Awards for 2011. Some of the winning games were The Original Egg Game, Gubs, Fastrack, and Ratuki.

Disney FamilyFun magazine issued a top 10 list for its 2011 Toy of the Year Awards. Among the winners was the game Richard Scarry’s Busytown Busy, Busy Airport.

Apparently the Golden Pawns were awarded by the International Gamers Guild, but despite receiving a press release and visiting their website, I can’t figure out who won.
