Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
I’m sure you recall the second entry in my criminal roundup from two months ago, wherein I noted that the president of the Nigerian National Scrabble Federation was brought before the Economic and Financial Crimes commission by several of the players, who accused him of improperly deducting money from their winnings. Of course you do!
Anyhoo, the president kicked out the players, who were the top nine players of the association. The National Sports Commission then ordered their reinstatement, but this order was ignored. (source)
The Federation is privately consessioned by Verallen Nigeria Limited. The Federation’s Concessionaire Allen Egbe has now removed president Olobaloke Aka and vice president Suleman Gora from their posts. In place, the new president will be the former chairman of the board, Allen Egbe.

This man Toke, maybe he thought he was above the law. To ignore directive from a parent body when the world is watching is not cool. Was he trying to say that the rules don’t apply to him, definitely not cool. Suspending nine best players a country and even the continent has as i learned from his interview with AIT definitely make him A square peg in a round hole
Thank God that unfit pegs are still been removed in Nigeria.
Thanks for the sharing of such information we will pass it on to our readers.
