Hasbro has partnered with Recyclebank to encourage everyone to rid themselves of their old board games with (or without) missing pieces. Go to the site and print a mailing label that will let you send the game – free of charge – to be recycled. And not a moment too soon; if I see another mainstream press article that refers to “dusty old board games in the back of your closet” I think I’ll puke. Maybe they’ll stop if we get rid of all of the actual dusty games.
You’ll also earn recycle points on the site, and Hasbro is also offering coupons off various games in the lead up to their family game night campaign.
Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
So rather than trying to increase sales by designing better games, they brainstormed and decided to “Do a George Lucas” and try to get everybody to re-buy the games they already own. Good luck with that.
