I remember the one time in Scrabble I used all my letters on a triple-word score. Imagine making seven-letter bingos seven times in one game!

That’s what Joel Sherman of Bronx, New York did Friday on his way to an 803 point world tournament record win over former National School Scrabble Champion Bradley Robbins of Windham, New Hampshire. The previous record, set in July 2010, was 771 points.

By the way, Joel’s bingos were:

  • Crumpled—101 points
  • Outrated—72 points
  • Cothurni—92 points
  • Travoise—95 points
  • Shaking—111 points
  • Avenged—84 points
  • Airline—75 points
