Wizards of the Coast has announced the upcoming release of Magic: The Gathering Toolbox, a mobile app for iOS and Android devices. Game tools will track life, poison, floating mana, and Commander damage for up to six players (eight on the iPad), and will save individual profile information. Other tools will support deck building (and sharing by email and Facebook), reading DailyMTG.com articles, and event and store locators. A card search feature will include all existing M:TG cards (10,000+) at launch but the addition of new cards will require payment.

The iOS version of Magic: The Gathering Toolbox should be available later in January, with the Android version following shortly thereafter.
