The Consumer Electronics Show is just that, a show about electronics, so it’s not something we usually pay much attention to. In this video, however, the guys at Woot point out some interesting gadgets that could be used for our type of games.
One of the devices they mention is the ePawn Arena. Yes, we’ve seen before electronic screens working as gaming surfaces and reacting to playing pieces. However, this one gets our attention for its compact size and independence from any particular operating system. Also, it’s available in two versions, one embedded in a 26″ screen and one a pad that can be used with an actual board, yet registers on a separate electronic device.
