On Friday, Hasbro launches its version of board game combined with iPad app, The Game of Life: zAPPed Edition. Placed in the center of the board, the iPad serves as electronic spinner, displays clips from America’s Funniest Home Videos, and administers mini games for bonus cash.
I do not believe there is an electronic component to the board. That is, the iPad does not plug in and track where a playing piece has moved. When landing on one of the several types of “app space”, players choose the appropriate icon on the tablet screen.

love this game!!! :)
It’s forward thinking like this that has put Hasbro right where they are..with a lousy quarter /sarc
Hasbro licensed patented technology from Editions Volumiques for all these zAPPed games (Battleship and Monopoly in the works). Each game includes playing pieces or cards that have an unique plastic capacitor design that the iPad recognizes and interacts with.
