So what would you get if you crossed your favorite pop-up figure game with your favorite spinning top game? Probably Monsuno.

Monsuno are pop up actions figures contained in cylinders.  The basic rules have you spinning them like tops at each other, and if they hit the figure pops open and battle ensues. Basically Bakugan with spinning instead of rolling. Combat results are figured out by each Monsuno’s base cards, and other cards that can be added in for intermediate and advanced play. The player who reduces their opponent’s piece to zero hit points is the winner.

Oh, did I mention they’re collectible? Of course they are.

Will this new toy/game be a hit? Who knows. It’s got an accompanying show on Nick, so I’m sure there’s going to be a descent fan base for the game for at least a little while.
