    1. I like Monopoly. It’s not boring.

    2. The kicker is near the end when she says “games change our perspective.” That’s exactly what is accomplished by the Middle Passage game. Instead of the Middle Passage being a few paragraphs in a textbook, it becomes something that you’re a part of and something that you experience in a vicarious way. Role playing games allow us to do this in fantastic ways that are not possible in reality. Historical games like the ones she mentioned would be much more effective at teaching this important historical events than would a video or craft project. Being involved in a game would not only help the student to remember the event, but it would also expose them to the emotion involved in the event. Hopefully, if these events are remembered and understood more, these negative events would not be repeated.
