Memorial Day in the U.S. marks the traditional start of the summer season, also considered convention season for gamers. And to start the season off right, Strategicon’s GAMEX will take place over the holiday weekend (May 25-28) at the LAX Sheraton Gateway Hotel. Events and activities include a Settlers of Catan Championhip pre-qualifier, a Warmachine tournament, a large dealer room, a steampunk masquerade, miniature painting, and live-action roleplaying. Special guests include game designers Richard Borg and Tom Jolly. Sunday is Family Day, with a pass for the whole family only $50.
