Machine cut dice made from 1 piece of solid metal? Sounds pretty cool to me. Each of these floating face dice is cut into 2 pieces from a single block of aluminum, yet in a way that the inside piece has wiggle room inside the frame. The dice can be colored a few different colors: Black, Blue, Red, Green, Silver/Clear, and Purple.
The designer of the dice, Sly Kly, has set up a Kickstarter project to get these mass produced. The price to actually get a few of these dice isn’t too bad. Just pledge $11 to the project and you get 2 solid dice, while a pledge of $12 will get you 2 floating face dice.
There’s a bunch of technical info about the dice on the project page, along with a slew of reward levels.

Thanks for the exposure. You can also get these dice in Copper, Brass, and Stainless Steel.
