2014 Pokémon Winter Regionals_InfographicThe Pokemon Winter Regional Championships start this weekend! All you need to do is show up with a tournament legal Pokemon deck and you’re good to go*. Tournaments are held in Swiss-style pairs, so all players will get a chance to play every round.

Results of the Regional Championships can give a serious boost to a player’s Championship Points and chances of earning Travel Awards to Nationals, or even an invitation to the 2014 Pokémon World Championships in Washington, DC.

Prizes are booster packs, trophies, and points towards a National Championships Travel Award or Stipend from a pool of nearly $200,000 in travel allowances.

*There will also be Pokemon X & Y video game tournaments, which you’ll need to bring your own copy of the game and a 2DS/3DS to participate.
