Second Look - Boardgame reviews in depth. Check out that cat.Just this past weekend I received my r20 in the mail from CritSuccess. Having seen the rings at PAX East, I was eager to try it on and get spinning. The rings are light-weight, but by no means cheaply made. It’s recommended to clean them before use, as the manufacturing process may leave a bit of debris that prevents spinning, but I figured I’d see how well it spun before a good cleaning.

How did it do? Pretty damn well. How did it do after cleaning it as instructed? Amazing. The ring just feels so smooth to spin.

This lets me easily spin the dial with my thumb; an action that has now become a habit, much to my wife’s dismay. I’m constantly spinning the thing as I walk around the house, work, talk on the phone, and … as I write this article.

I’ve had to clean it a few times this week to keep it spinning well, but I’ve also spent a lot of time outdoors getting it dirty. I love the thing so much that I’m thinking of getting a few of the other rings they have, including the awesome looking Life Counter Ring.

The ring is awesome, and I highly recommend it to any gamer.
