MtG LegacyRisk: Legacy, which uses stickers, markers, and secret envelopes to modify the game each time it’s played, received such critical acclaim that I’m surprised we haven’t seen more Legacy-style products in the marketplace. With gamers, however, the lack of an official product is only an invitation to tinker.

Which is just what Dave Chalker has done, marrying the variable game-play of Legacy with Magic: The Gathering’s cube drafting format. Over on Gathering Magic, Dave has posted all the rules and materials needed for anyone to play this mashup: a tournament tracker, creature upgrade stickers, unlockable packets, and basic Cube: Legacy rules. Give it a try.
