Welcome to Purple Pawn, covering games played around the world by billions of people every day.
Steve Jackson Games has promoted Philip J. Reed to CEO, vacating the Chief Operation Officer position. The new COO of the company is Samuel Mitschke, formerly the company’s Production Manager. In early September the company’s founder and president, Steve Jackson, wrote in his yearly Report to the Stakeholders that he was stepping down from daily operations for “about six months”, handing over the running of the company to Mr. Reed. In the statement, Mr. Jackson joked that “[Phil has] been doing it for months already”.
Mr. Reed joined Steve Jackson Games in February, 2008, as Chief Operating Officer. Mr. Mitschke has been at the company since May, 2011, as an art director and production manager.
