A new cyberpunk style board game is in the works right now. While there still is not a plethora of information about the miniatures based game set in a “dark, high-tech, and quite near future,” the development company has been releasing tasty tidbits about it on Facebook for the past week.
From the developer’s description, Human Interface – Nakamura Tower is intended for fans of Ghost in the Shell, The Matrix, Dues Ex, and other such science fiction based action stories.
The game is supposedly going to feature highly detailed miniatures, a couple of which have already made an appearance on Facebook.
It will also include photorealistic art, a “huge amount” of cards, tokens, and accessories, and unique gaming mechanics featuring network-based combat, character sheets, and more.
The game is designed for two or more players, but is possible to take on as a solo adventure.
From the description offered in the About section of the game’s Facebook page, players will be able to create teams for specific tasks with special equipment, implants, chips, and weapons. Teams will “break the firewalls of corporate terminals and gain supremacy in battle.”
There is no official information as to when the game will launch. However, the company has started a campaign to get people talking by posting images and storyline details every day for the past week. Check out the Human Interface official Facebook page to stay up to date on the game’s launch.
