Chaotic beverages are being reformulated to conform to the nutritional standards of Canadian regulatory agency Health Canada.
The line of beverages was launched in Canada in the spring of 2009.
In cooperation with Health Canada, all Chaotic drinks were immediately and voluntarily recalled on October 23, 2009 after it was discovered that the products had inadvertently not undergone the Natural Health Product (NHP) certification process required by the agency. At the time of the recall, the beverages had been approved by Health Canada for a site license.
Though the regulatory agency had concerns about the levels of some natural ingredients, such as niacin and vitamin A, in the products, Health Canada noted in a press release that “the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote,” and that it “(had) not received any adverse reaction reports related to these …products.”
Chaotic beverages are made with 100 percent natural sugars, colors and flavors. The nutrient-infused drinks are designed to provide healthy hydration.
