The Escapist had a great article yesterday on how board games are making a comeback due to the recession.  The NPD Groups saw a 4% in 2009 over the previous year, and “experts” say this is because the price is right.

Video games are expensive, requiring a pricey setup in order to get even get them.  Board games, on the other hand, don’t break the bank.  They go on to say that a copy of Chutes and Ladders can be found for as little as $5 and that, just like the article I posted about yesterday, “can help establish early math skills.”

I’m a huge fan of the Escapist, and just like Yehuda, I’m glad they’re pimping board games more and more.
