Ben and Rett are back with a hard hitting expose on…boxes. Well, maybe not an expose, but it is the long-feared “All About Boxes” episode. We have lots of news on Origins and other summer fun bits, too. Hopefully, all of this will make you forget the fact that we were very late getting the show out!
And we have an actual link for you:

To say this was informative is an understatement. I’m finally getting around to doing price quotes for one of my games and to have actual answers on what things can cost is fantastic. It not only changed what materials I plan on using (for example, I’m going with a tuck box 12 point instead of a setup box now for a card game), it gave me some understanding on the cost so I can know the average price per unit. It helps a lot considering all I have are quotes from multiple printers and it can be difficult to know who is overcharging and who skipping corners to give me such a price. The shrink wrap tip was the most useful thing I heard on the topic.
In regards to my comment on the board game to computer game: I was hoping to get your thought on the ‘counter-point’. I’m not that invested in what I had to say but was curious as to how you exactly felt on the matter. You don’t need to bring it up on the podcast, but I would appreciate it if you could take the time and go a little further in detail as to your opinion on it.
This is the episode I’d been waiting for. Yeah, I guess I’m that guy. Thanks!
Fantastic! This, this is the kind of stuff you guys seem to do so well. I love it. Thanks!
