That’s right! Yu-Gi-Oh! is headed to next-generation consoles in Legacy of the Duelist, due out early summer for $19.99. The game looks to pack a punch, with the follow features:
More info can be found here.
I’m just a bit sad it won’t be available on the Wii-U.
Each pack of Star Pack: ARC-V contains 3 random cards, with one guaranteed Shatterfoil card. The full set includes 48 cards available as Common and the same 48, in addition to 2 extra cards, also available as Shatterfoil. That’s a ton of new Shatterfoil cards to make a deck glitter.
Duelists can also collect popular cards available in various sets, stretching from Legend of Blue-Eyes White Dragon to Hidden Arsenal, so fans can find Mobius the Frost Monarch and Polymerization to Gem-Knight Fusion, X-Saber Souza, and Constellar Algiedi.
There’s some great cards in the set, and each booster pack is only 99 cents.
Partnering with Kaleidoscope Youth, Family, Millennials, KONAMI’s Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG After School Program began April 20 and runs through the end of the current academic year. The program is for kids ages 8-11, and teaches reading, math, and sportsmanship through Yu-Gi-Oh!. Currently in 2000 After School programs, each program gets a kit contains a Leader Guide for teachers or administrators, a Beginner’s Guide and Game mat for each student, Demo Decks for each student, and a variety of variant Card Packs to be used as rewards.
This is pretty awesome, and something I’d love to see more game companies doing!
Coming May 15th, Crossed Souls is the latest Booster Set to arrive for Yu-Gi-Oh!. This 100-card set introduces the Zefra monsters, a new monster omni-theme that crosses over five different Deck types. Zefra monsters are tied in to a popular monster group from recent sets. Duelists with Shaddolls, ’tellarknights, Yang Zing, Nekroz, or Ritual Beasts can add their new Zefra monsters to spice-up their Deck, or build a Deck entirely of Zefra monsters, tying all five together.
Each nine-card pack will be $3.99. The Crossed Souls booster set contains 100 cards:
There will be sneak-peak events held for the set at participating stores.
It’s that time of year again! Yu-Gi-Oh 2015 Mega-Tins will be release on September 18th, and contain some of the year’s best cards. Each tin is designed after a monster from Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V, and will contain: 12 Common cards, 1 Rare card, 1 Super Rare card, 1 Ultra Rare card, and 1 Secret Rare card. There’s also 3 variant cards included in each tin: 2 Super Rare cards (like Majesty’s Fiend or Castel, the Skyblaster Musketeer) and 1 highly collectible Platinum Secret Rare card of the Mega-Tin cover monster!
The tins will retail for $19.99, and there will only be one wave available. Once they’re sold out, they’re gone!
While I’m still fairly new to Yu-Gi-Oh, it doesn’t take a genius to realize how insane the cards that come in World Superstars booster packs are. Each 5-card booster pack comes with only foil cards, as each card in the 50 card set is nothing but. Many of the cards I received were XYZ monsters, or cards that boost them. My son and I went from not being able to play with an Extra Deck, to each having a rather impressive one. The game has definitely stepped up for us.
You can snag these booster packs for as little at $3, which may seem like a lot for 5 cards. Trust me. These puppies pack a punch. Even one pack will probably get you something to bring your deck to the next level.
Like I said. My son are I are just getting into the swing of things, but World Superstars whetted our appetites for more Yu-Gi-Oh now that we’ve got some power to work with.
